Jeff Hickman specializes in government affairs, public affairs, and communications.
Prior to joining LS2group, Jeff served as Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives for three legislative sessions and was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2004. Jeff represented four counties in northwest Oklahoma in the House for 12 years and was unable to seek re-election due to
legislative term limits. Prior to his election as Speaker, Jeff served as Speaker pro tempore and chairman of the Revenue and Taxation Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee, Public Safety Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee, and Insurance and Retirement Committee. He was selected to the Aspen Institute Rodel Fellowship program with the Class of 2014. In May 2017, Jeff was appointed to a nine-year term as a state regent for the Oklahoma System of Higher Education by Governor Mary Fallin.
Before his election to the Legislature, Jeff served as vice president of Omni Media Group in Woodward. He spent seven years working in higher education at The University of Oklahoma, where he served as university press secretary, public affairs special projects coordinator, and as an assistant to the president and to the athletic director.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with distinction from OU. Since leaving the Legislature, he has served as chief communications and compliance officer for Great Salt Plains Health Center. Additionally, he has been involved with his family’s farming operation in northwest Oklahoma since childhood, and is now the fifth generation in his family to own and farm land there. Jeff’s wife, Jana, is an occupational therapist. They are the proud parents of three children.
